Now had we been going and been asked to bring beer, wine or any other fine adult beverage we would/could been found in the poor house but a noodle dish for someone else and Ella would be sleeping on the deluxe Pillow-top! My husband is a sailor and does not have a potty mouth at ALL! OK, I'm not really offended, just jokin'!
But I would kick my husband's ass if he tried to pull a stunt like that. I'm glad you have managed to work your way through it. Maybe you can turn the restaurant into a Mexican joint before next Christmas!JenEverAfterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03206432673037079130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853405681241979670.post-24092357691174104282008-12-23T21:26:00.000-08:002008-12-23T21:26:00.000-08:00OMG I almost feel off my chair when I read that pr...OMG I almost feel off my chair when I read that price. He did spend quite a bit of money but if you can afford it and it brought him a lot of pleasure then I guess that's the most important part. And, it is probably much better than Costco lasagna (or I hope so).
I always think of the hay I'm feeding the horses at $4.50 a bale and then calculate the bails they are eating per day times six months of hay only. Mountain Man supports my hobby though he doesn't understand it so I try to do the same for him.
I think it will be a great holiday story to share in the years to come. The Silver Age Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01135538968544231161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853405681241979670.post-10741543354401133612008-12-23T04:11:00.000-08:002008-12-23T04:11:00.000-08:00LOL !!! This story - HAHA - SO typical and very husbandish ha! if my husband EVER said he was going to be in charge of what we were taking to a party, i would immediately be suspicious as you were AND know that it probably meant it was something he would just buy. As you said about your husband making a lasagna being like him digging the panama canal - SAME here:) I'm glad you were able to let the money thing go. Its tough when it comes to money i thinK! so good for you:) My husband is the spender, me the saver so letting it go if he blew 185 err 200! on lasagna would take me way more than a week!! Thanks for the story - i got a good laugh though:) (since it was your husband and not mind haha)Elizabeth Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06968505431111144876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853405681241979670.post-27597604717434933832008-12-22T19:26:00.000-08:002008-12-22T19:26:00.000-08:00Oh, my. After a few weeks I have to get over the money though... There are so many things that I shut my husband down on I have to let some of it go. This is just a small sampling of what my husband is capable. If I could not find humor in his antics somewhere I think I would be crying all the time. :)

My husband making lasagna would be the equivalent of him digging the Panama Canal. I am making one of the recipes I got for enchiladas tonight for dinner. I have yet to see the "establishment" but it is apparently Mike's new favorite restaurant. It is close to the yard where all the trucks are so it is close for him to eat at. I will have to make him take me there personally soon...Juliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851909774982026207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853405681241979670.post-70068806739839815242008-12-22T16:27:00.000-08:002008-12-22T16:27:00.000-08:00No WAY! You are way too nice!!!!!!

We used to get a really nice expensive fresh farm organic turkey for his family for Thanksgiving each year that cost a fortune and we stopped doing that bc no one appreciated it. We're the type of ppl where a simple 'thank you' goes a LONG way. So I really hope your family thanked you!

Loved this post! In my world, all lasagna is pretty equally good!

I read that Italian food is always the most popular at potlucks, BTW.

FaithAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
