Here's the mock up for the 7 x 5 inch "post card" style media flier that I will send to bookstores for my Bingo's Big Adventure book.
Here's the front side.
This is the back side.
Now would this advertisement make you interested in buying this book?
Comments welcome. Feed back positive or critical would be greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in advanced purchase of Bingo's Big Adventure hop over to the Bingo book sale site HERE. As soon as the boxes containing books hit my porch I'll be ripping them open, packaging books up and sending them out. Also, I promise to sign your book too!
Hope you're having a great Memorial Day weekend.
p.s. I am looking for independent books stores in your area. If you have any to suggest, send me the names!! I'm building my list of stores to send my media packages. I can do the San Francisco bay area easily. I need to start creating my out-of-state independent book store lists now too.
Thanks, thanks!

Julia, I love it! If the girl was not 15 and They boy not 21, I would so be buying the book for them! I love the pictures they are super cute especially the one where Bingo is on the tree.
This looks so fun! I know both the pictures and story will be fabulous as proven right here on OSL for a long time!
I think it looks wonderful. What a great idea!
The only suggestion I would make is your font. It might be hard to read for some people.
The cleaner the font - the easier it is to read, the more it gets noticed.
You saw Superior......
Not the text font - the Bingo's Big Adventure font...
I love it...the cat following the rooster is cute, looks like they are off on an adventure! I admire you so much for doing this! The Desert Book stores in Utah..great family and kids based..contact them them! Sheri Dew is the president. Good luck with it all :D
Julia, it looks really good! Good luck.
Julia, do not forget the homeschoolers and their forums!!!
Do not forget the school libraries!
Don't forget college bookstores!
I think the postcard is very hard-hitting and professional and it would make me interested in the book.
I think it looks wonderful!
That picture of Bingo in the tree with the chickens on the fence in the background is enough to make me want to read it myself! (FarmMan too) It reminds us of our cat from long ago(Tom).
I agree, don't forget the Libraries.
Have a great weekend.
Pam
I am so excited for you, and I would say YES, that postcard would make me want to buy this book, or at the very least look at it. I like the way you sell the idea that our children NEED to be outside, it's part of the heritage, a part that is sadly missing in so many kids lives. I can't wait to purchase mine!
You chose excellent pictures for this. The picture of the cat with its mouth open draws attention immediately, and makes me want to read the words.
It looks fantastic. Best of luck!
Hi! Stopping by from EC. Love your blog.
I can't believe I didn't comment on your post yet - I usually look forward to your new posts. Must've been preoccupied with pot holders ;-)
I don't know of any bookstores (independent and otherwise) in my area...I'm afraid I'm no help in that respect, but I will definitely keep it in mind should the occasion arise. If I were a book seller, I'd be interested in this book. I think children learn easier in connection with animals because most children love animals. Why do they have to outgrow their love for critters so often and turn into hard-core adults?
Hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend, Julia. Thanks for visiting my blog. As you can tell I've got the pot holder fever -
