California's golden poppies are pretty radiant. I love them too! In Germany where I grew up, we had fields and fields of the red ones and I thought those were beautiful as well.
I know what you mean about time - almost 1/2 a year gone already - time for me to start working on Christmas crafts. I actually kept my tree up this year. It's still standing in my bedroom all decorated (where I hardly ever go - it's more like the cat's room) where it's ouf of the way. I know it's nuts, but hey, I lie alone and the animals don't seem to mind ;-) Happy poppies!
A quick trip to LA the last three days was made much better by the incredible display of poppies and lupine near Gorman on Hwy 5. Almost made the trip worthwhile.
I'm crazy for poppies! ;) This is the perfect blog background for spring. I wish we had more poppies here. I see them once in a while. Hope you week is going well!
Photos and Essays about life on a five-acre property in California.
Rural living with two households, four parents, five children, four horses, four cats, thirteen chickens, one rooster, a hand full of fish, and sometimes insane moms. Kind of like a commune but without all the religious cult stuff.
If you want to use my photos - Please Ask First. Thanks and enjoy!

Ohhhhh your new back-ground is so pretty! Perfect for summer
Love it! Cute post below too about the boiled volleyball and the spoiled cat! Come say hi :D
The new background is a very good one. The combination of the flowers and all of that green is beautiful.
I love your Poppies!

The Poppies are beautiful! I love them too.
You are right. Don't blink because when you open your eyes and focus again, it is all different. The same, but new, but old, and different.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.
Pam
