We had a little party over the weekend.

I came across this photo opportunity which was simply irresistible.
This is a sleeping man. Yes, I assure you dead asleep. What is my daughter doing? She is watching Dora the Explorer........ with a special foot rest.
I am guessing that after drinking a few beers my dear and loving husband fell asleep on the couch. (I was cooking on the BBQ like a mad woman.) Then my napping daughter emerged from her slumber into the living room and thought, "Hmm, Daddy's head will make a nice pillow."
A close up just cause I can.
My husband said, "This is just how tired I was. I can't believe this is going on the blog. But I know that they all want to see me at my best."
Mike's excuse is that he rode the BMX bikes three days in a row at the "new" bike park in town. Sort of like this (that's Mike jumping on our berm):

That's hilarious! The funniest thing is that it looks absolutely normal.
How many kids did you say you had??? I'm counting one extra if I add in the dude on the BICYCLE! Oh man #2 used to have this thing when she was little. She'd have to sit on your head to sleep. It was funny but so weird to.. glad she grew out of it. I'll have to dig up one of the zillions of pics I took of it.

I once came home and found my son, 5 at the time (and one of his friends) driving 'hot Wheel" cars all over my husband who was sound asleep on the kitchen floor. If only I'd taken a shot of that!

I especially like how his face is smashed into the couch and how your daughter is just sitting there like nothing is out of the ordinary!

The truth be told I think my husband is like having two more children in the house. So technically I have four kids. :)
He looks plain wore out! And she looks very contented.

I have to admit I've dropped off to sleep with a baby and toddler climbing on me. When you are that tired you have to grab sleep where you can!
If only I'd had a camera and blog back in the early 80s, I could have had lots of pics like this of my hubs. Especially the one where he fell asleep on the floor (inside) but with his head outside the slider with the sliding door pulled up against his neck. Because it was 12 degrees outside, but 'hot' inside. (I know it was more likely that he was having the 'spins', ha ha)
oh my, so this is what completely exhausted feels like. i love the pics and story.

I can't believe he slept through that. Either he was really tired or he had a lot of beer. Leave it to Ella to find a comfy place for her. She's very creative.

To truly test the "dead asleep" theory I think you should set up the timer (or teach your daughter) to snap the picture with YOUR feet across his head while he's asleep!
LOL ... TOO funny!!! Love her position on him - and she just looks chill like "yea, i sit here all the time. so what. dora is on" haha... and yea, you're dealing with a maniac as most of us wives are! we'll keep praying for each other lol
