A Battle of Pigtail Proportions

Somebody decided to stop fighting me on my attempts at "hair control."

Finally.

And finding out that pigtails are not the end of the universe, that same someone might even LIKE them!

The battle really begins when we start to brush Ella's hair. No matter how carefully, no mater how slowly I tease out little tangles, I would hear a screaming, screeching, hissing fit. I think I've finally wore her down.

Maybe those hair follicles have toughened up a little. Or something.

I take my tiny victories where ever they occur. Whoo hoo!!!

Hi Julia I love your new background. I remember crying too when I got my hair combed but washing was the worst.

I have a Babaje that looks just like your Bongo and he is also a Mighty Adventurer. He may come inside but he Loves the out doors. I believe he fancys himself as the Protector of the Grounds.
Does Bingo have that sweet carmel color on his belly and under his neck? It's the most lovely shade.

Oh, what a cutie. She looks like her mama! Happy Mother's Day!

Get a toy that she gets to hold ONLY when you are combing out her hair. That works!!!

I hope she'll get to the point where you can do all sorts of fancy braids in her hair!

Goodness gracious, that is like one of the cutest things I've ever seen in the history of time!

Good job on managing hair control. Nicky won't let me touch his...and Finn would let me play with his 24 hours a day. Maybe the next one will be a happy medium.

Ella is an adorable child, but I can see a twinkle in her eyes - she's a spitfire and probably quite stubborn too, right?

My daughter had a very sensitive scalp and extremely thick and long hair and everytime I tried to brush/braid/or fix it, it was a major scream fest.

Glad you got it somehwat under control ;-)

Happy Mother's Day, my friend :-)

Totally worth the struggles because she couldn't be cuter.

Happy Mother's Day, Julia!

HMD to you and congratulations on reaching the no screaming stage! Ella sure is cute as anything, but I think Doris is right, and that she can be full of spit and vinegar when she needs/wants to be!
